An adaptive ballast control chip integrated with 600V half-bridge drive is a chip used in compact fluorescent lamps. This chip includes adaptive zero-voltage switching, crest factor overcurrent protection, and also integrates a bootstrap diode. The core part of the chip is a voltage-controlled oscillator with an externally adjustable minimum frequency. All the features required by the ballast control chip are integrated into the 8-pin PDIP/SOIC package.
